About us
We are a family owned and operated music and art studio. We provide lessons in piano, guitar, ukulele, drums and sax, as well as teach art and drama. We are located in far west San Antonio.
Job Description:
Guitar and Ukulele instructor. Our studio is in search of a skilled and committed instructor who has the ability to aid in the growth of our students, spanning from ages 5 to adulthood, into exceptional musicians. If you possess an optimistic attitude and are motivated to teach and guide children and adults, we eagerly await your application.
Duties
* Teach guitar and ukulele beginner, intermediate and advanced.
* Plan and prepare engaging individual and or group Guitar lessons. (Lesson books provided)
* Ensure effective learning takes place and students make excellent progress.
* Provide feedback and give advice on student performance and skills.
* Take attendance and schedule makeups when applicable
* Prepare and support students for performances and auditions, as appropriate.
* read notes
* Keep work space tidy
Flexible Schedule
You can choose to work 1 or 5 days a week. Classes build as students register.
Monday-Friday between the hours of 2pm and 8pm (based on room availability)
Saturday 11 am to 4pm. - Required
Summer camp required (limited hours)
Location
Lessons are conducted at BlackBox Music & Arts 1401 Dezarae #6, San Antonio TX 78253. We prefer someone within 20 mile radius to the studio due to the fluctuating schedules.
Pay
Instructors are employees and paid based on the number of hours worked (lessons taught) per pay period.
This is a good fit for anyone looking to earn supplemental funds. It is not a good fit for anyone seeking head of household or full time employment.
