DESCRIPTION: Lights, camera, ACTION! 🎬 Unleash your inner Spielberg (or maybe just your inner class clown!) this summer! Join our super fun film camp where YOU get to create your own short movie or skit.

Learn acting techniques, how to nail an audition, and how to read a script like a pro. We'll also show you the magic behind the camera, from shooting and lighting to directing your very own masterpiece. Intro to Songwriting Lyrics and Production Basics

DESCRIPTION: Embark on a creative journey into the world of music with our Beginners Songwriting and Production Basics class, designed specifically for kids! This exciting class is the perfect introduction to crafting original songs and understanding the fundamentals of music production. Young aspiring musicians will learn how to brainstorm ideas, develop catchy melodies, write engaging lyrics, and structure their songs effectively.

NO experience necessary.
Ability to read and write at a 6th grade level is best.

CAMP TERMS: These are terms addendum to our standard studio terms
All standard studio terms apply and can be found here.

MUST HAVES - WATER & CLOSED TOE SHOES!
Please send a refillable water bottle for all classes, no matter the duration.
Send a snack for classes lasting 2 hours or more. (nothing messy)
NO open toed shoes and dress appropriate for our natural outdoor setting with common outdoor nuisances such as prickly plants, insects and the hot sun.  
Bring a light jacket or sweater. Classrooms may be chilly to some.

MINIMUM ENROLLMENT All camps are subject to a minimum enrollment of students in order to proceed. If class is cancelled, on option to transfer to another class or receive a full refund will be provided. 

B.Y.O. Lunch Bring your own lunch and beverages and snacks. Please try and avoid messy items.  Refrigerator is available. 

100% POTTY TRAINED 
All students must be fully capable of utilizing the restroom without assistance (potty trained). No faculty assistance will be provided in the restroom. If your child presents signs of not being fully capable of using facilities without assistance, you will be contacted to pick them up and no refund will be provided.

DROP-OFF and PICK-UP
We are not a childcare facility and do not have staff available to supervise students outside of their scheduled class times. Students may not be dropped off more than 10 minutes prior to the start of their scheduled class and should be picked up on time. 

NO EARLY DROP OFF OR LATE PICK UP
We are NOT offering before or after care with the exception of supervised lunch at 12 p.m. for qualified students* We do not offer early drop off. Please do not drop  your student more than 10 minutes prior to class start time. Pick up should take place promptly at the end of the scheduled class. We do not have staff available to supervise children outside of the classroom. Late pick ups are charged.

STUDENT DROP OFF AND RELEASE
DAY ONE: For your child's safety, make sure your child is escorted into the building on the first day.
EACH DAY AFTER: you may drop off and pick up at the patio deck. We will not release your children if we cannot see who is picking them up. Please pick up at the patio.
If a parent or guardian not listed on the original registration form will be picking your child up, please notify us at drop off.

TARDIES or  ABSENCES
Students who are late, accept the remaining time of their lesson as a lesson in full. There are no refunds or make ups for missed classes.

BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH - ELIGIBLE STUDENTS ONLY*
12 pm to 1 pm is applicable as an paid add-on for qualified students who attend classes ending at 12 pm or are attending classes beginning at 1 pm. No other students are eligible to be dropped off at lunch.

CLASS CANCELLATION & CHANGES
We apologize for any inconvenience, however, classes are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met. BlackBox reserves the right to cancel classes when necessary, as well as change time, dates of class offerings. If a class is cancelled, or changed, every effort will be made to notify participants by phone/text, and/or email prior to the first session. For cancelled classes, a full refund will be given or participant may request to be transferred to another class on a space–available basis or funds may be put on account for future classes. 

NO REFUND POLICY
Most classes depend on a minimum of 3 student in order to proceed. Your registration and tuition help us make the determination to proceed with the class, reserve your child’s place in a camp session and allow BlackBox Music & Arts to purchase supplies and contract staff. All camp tuition is non-refundable (with the exception of class cancellation) so please read all policies, time, dates etc. carefully prior to registration

YES, it is possible that classes may be transferred or gifted to other family or friends with advanced notice, the proper completion of a new registration form by the new student's guardian prior to the beginning of camp. Please contact administration 210-748-5599.

REMOVAL FROM CLASS
BlackBox Music & Arts reserves the right to ask any student, enrolled in any class or program, to leave the property if they: are disruptive or interfere with the safety of others, consistently debate or argue with the instructor, disrespect or abuse of instructor or interference with instruction, act out in any manner not acceptable to staff, or if parental/guardian are in non-compliance with stated policies.

Classes are designed based on age related criteria. Removal from class may occur if student is found to be under the age of class requirement or not fully potty trained. There will be no refunds or credits if removal occurs– no exceptions.

PRICING ERRORS & ORDER CANCELLATION
BlackBox reserves the right to adjust pricing in case of listed errors, can cancel orders and refund customers' money because of pricing errors (or for any reason). No discounts will be given for listed pricing errors.
