PRACTICE SPACE AND SMALL VENUE RENTAL starting at $16hr

Looking for a space to teach practice or hold an event? We offer both indoor and outdoor event and rehearsal space that can be rented on an hourly basis. Our facilities are perfect for single or group practice, instruction, workshops, seminars, meetings and events, and an ideal setting for unique intimate engagements that can expand out onto the patio and expansive acreage. Consider us for hosting your next small private event such as Anniversary, Retirement, Shower, Meeting, CD Release, Band Debut, Birthday or other celebrations. (60 guest limit). Please call regarding current limitations and for full studio exclusive use rates.

COZY

Reception Area $62hr

For rehearsal or events. The main reception concert area consists of 638 square feet of space with a baby grande piano available. The ceiling to floor widows on all sides are flanked by vibrant paintings, a large fireplace and french doors that open to a large covered patio. The space can easily be configured and decorated to meet your specific needs. There is a full kitchen open to the main reception. Accomodates 50 guests. (4hr block $220). Individual practice $21 hr.; instruction $41hr. Plus $10 hr after 7pm.

PRIVATE

Practice Room $16hr

There are three practice rooms available to accomodate 1 to 4 students to practice vocals, guitar, violin and other strings, and piano. Use of keyboards included. FREE for members* Rate $16 per hr. Main room with babygrand available for individual practice at $21 hr. (For PRACTICE ONLY- NO LESSONS).
Plus $10 hr after 7pm.

CONVENIENT

Instruction Room $26hr

Choose from 3 instruction rooms depending on your needs. Use of Keyboard(s) included. The largest can accomodate up to 4 students and 1 instructor. $26 -$34hr

FLEXIBLE

Classroom/Meeting $52hr

This bright and modern 462 sq ft classroom is the ultimate flexible training experience, ideal for offsite meetings, workshops, private lessons and group classes. Accomodates 50 guests in theater style / 36 guests round tables at 4 guests per table. (4 hr block - $180).

AFFORDABLE

Rehearsal Studio $18hr

Our 768 sq ft practice studio sits at the back of the property and is an ideal affordable space for photo shoots, film or video shoots, drum practice, band practice, dance practice or theatre group rehearsals. Rehearsal rates: 9am - 7pm: $18hr or $64 for a 4hr block Instruction/Teaching rates: $38 hr. Event rates: $64 hr. min 2 hrs. (Accommodates 60 guests). All rates plus $10 hr 7pm + Call for monthly rental rates. Available Mon-Sat 9am - 11pm; Sun 9am - 10pm

STORYBOOK

Outdoor Space $51hr

The large grounds are ideal for the storybook venue. The main reception french doors open onto the spacious patio, which is a perfect setting for a stage or cocktail receptions during breezy spring days and crisp fall evenings. The remaining acreage can easliy accomodate picnic blankets, tents, chairs, caterer, food truck and other personal touches. Outdoor Only Event: 9am - 7pm $51hr.-; 7pm -11pm $61 (2 hr min). (price excludes weddings and events over 30 guests).

*Listed prices are for space rental only and may increase without notice. Rent includes 30 minute set up break down must. Renters be off property within 45 minutes of end time. Rates are for non-exclusive use (meaning other rooms on the property may be in use during your rental period), unless otherwise noted. To qualify for a member events discount you must be a member in good standing for a period of 45 days – 90 days. Depending on availability and the room selected, we offer the following equipment for rent: Keyboards, guitar, bass, violin, drum set, mics, speakers and amps. No additonal charge for apple tv and 50in wall monitor (in reception and meeting room only), chairs, round tables, classroom tables, full kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven (for heating only) and microwave. Caterers and instructors must carry appropriate insurance. Contact office for terms of use.

San Antonio Fire Department EMS LT. Dwayne Toler, and his wife, visual artist Susan A. Toler. BlackBox Music & Arts is a creative space where performing and visual artists gather to learn, collaborate, celebrate and contemplate; are encouraged to reach their full potential; and are challenged to a higher standard.
