San Antonio Soul Line Dance with Toni Armstead
Date Night, Ladies Night Out, OR just looking for a fun way to exercise, reduce stress and gain other health benefits. Line dance to Soul, Jazz, Zydeco, Hip Hop, R& B and Blues. Join us on Tuesday nights for good times with music and dance!

Chicago Style Stepping with Lynita Mills
Come learn the fundamental techniques of the elegant, urban ballroom dance called "Chicago Stepping" hosted by Countdown City Steppers of San Antonio, TX! No experience is needed. If you can count to 8, you can learn this dance!

No partner is needed. Please bring shoes with hard soles. We look forward to meeting you soon! Dance Instructors: Lynita Mills and Paul Chalmers.

CHILDREN'S CLASSES ages 5 through17 years old – Beginner to Intermediate LAUREN VALDEZ was born in San Antonio, Texas and started dance at the age of 5. She has trained in various styles of dance such as; ballet, modern, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, jazz and is currently an officer of the John Paul Stevens Sky Dancers dance team. She has learned under the instruction and discipline of Encore dance for a year and later moved onto train at Chrissy's Dance Academy for a total of 8 years. She hopes to pursue a career in singing, acting and dancing after she graduates. Lauren strives to better herself while serving as a mentor and offering encouragement to her fellow performing artists. Dance Team Prep (ages 13-17) - call 210-660-3838 In this class students will study the art of dance and drill team. Perfecting the technique required on a dance team; Students will learn the necessary jumps, leaps and turns, as well as high kick combinations. This class is highly recommended for those who plan on trying out for their high school dance team. Students will engage in a rigorous course of strength and conditioning, learning the discipline from styles such as ballet and jazz. This class will focus on working on our weaknesses and turning them into our strengths. Beginner Jazz (ages 5- 7) Learning the proper use of terminology and structure that is required. Dancers will step up their game and push beyond the limits to exceed in the style of Jazz. While being introduced to advanced leaps, turns and combinations.

DISCOVERING DANCE JAZZ Beginners (Ages 7 to 11yrs.) This class curriculum is based on ballet technique, blended with traditional jazz movement, tap and hip hop dance styles. Class begins with warm ups, stretches, body isolations, floor progressions and fun combinations. Progression for the experienced student, more of the focus is on proper dance technique to develop complex rhythms & patterns. (Wear jazz shoes or go bare foot; ONLY black, white & pink dance attire). DISCOVERING DANCE JAZZ Beginners (Older Adults/Seniors) This class curriculum is a modified version to accommodate older adults. The class is based on ballet technique, blended with traditional jazz movement, tap and hip hop dance styles. Class begins with warm ups, stretches, body isolations, floor progressions and fun combinations. Progression for the experienced student, more of the focus is on proper dance technique to develop complex rhythms & patterns. (Attire discussed at first class). CHILDREN AND ADULT CLASSES – Beginner to Intermediate BREANA PATRICK
Dancing since the age of 5, Bree Patrick is no stranger to the life of a performer. At a young age, Bree has cheered and dance on a competitive level earning many titles to her name. Throughout her high school years, Bree cheered at John Jay high School, earning the title Captain of the varsity team in the years 2011-2012. After high school, Bree hung up her cheer shoes and pursued dancing full time, becoming a face dancer at SeaWorld San Antonio in 2012 and choreographing dances for special events, including competitions and private parties. She aspires to pursue dancing as a lifelong career performing in her younger years and choreographing a little later in life. Her styles include Jazz, Hip-hop, Modern, Ballet, and Contemporary. With 16 years of experience, Bree feels with dance, the moves aren’t as important as teaching confidence and creativity. 
 HIP HOP Beginner AGES 5 - 7 and AGES 8 - 12 This is a co-ed introduction to dance for beginner dancers. students new ways to express themselves through rhythm and movement along with dance elements, vocabulary, space, time and body awareness, as well as dance class etiquette. (Attire: shorts or sweatpants, t-shirt (Coed) HIP HOP DANCE Adults and Older Teens If you’re looking for exercise, a new way to meet friends, or trying to learn some new moves, look no further. Unlock your creativity in this high energy class that invokes spirit, passion, and a whole lot of personality. With a little touch of everything, this class is for those looking to push the boundaries of what they know about Hip-Hop. Learn to lose and find yourself in movement while gaining self-confidence and how to express yourself in ways you wouldn’t think possible. (Coed) All classes may not be listed.
